Session fees will be determined on a case-by case basis. The New Lectio Divina experience should be available to all, yet some remuneration seems appropriate for this quality service. In some cases a sum covering travel and lodging will suffice. A fee can be decided in advance, or a participating group can collect funds as a donation, before or after the session.
Whatever the fee arrangement, Burke will donate half of any monies generated by New Lectio Divina to a rural village in Haiti, Saltadere. (saltadere.org) For tax deduction purposes, groups negotiating a set fee in advance may want to prepare two checks, one made out to “Kate Burke” and the other to “St. Thomas Aquinas Church” with “Haiti Fund” in the memo line.
